OK Girlz here is my first post!!! YEAH!

Welcome everyone! So here it is -my first post. I am so excited to get this started and to be able to get connected with so many talented and creative people. A special HELLO to, Ruth (my mom), Janene, Beth, and Kristin (My Club Girlz) and to Anne my fantastic UL!

Today I am posting a tutorial on the 6x6 Scrapbook page I made with my Club in March. I have a pic of the finally page but do not have step by step pics at this time, sorry, but I will work on it. I got this idea and CASED it from my UL- Anne Venci~Thanks! Remember these 6x6 pages can bee added to an 8x8, 81/2x11, or a 12x12, page as an accent piece.

Supplies needed:

  • Petals & Paisleys DP (Designer Paper)

  • Polka Dot & Paisleys Stamp Set

  • Petals & Polka Dots Jumbo Wheel and Jumbo Handle

  • Choice of Large Alphabet Set (Headlines. Letterpress, or Big Deal)

  • So Saffron CS (Card Stock)

  • Pretty in Pink CS

  • Old Olive CS

  • Tempting Turquoise CS

  • Whisper White or Shimmery White CS

  • Old Olive Craft or Classic ink pad

  • So Saffron CLASSIC ink pad

  • Old Olive Marker/or Rough Edges Alphabets Stamp set

  • 3/4" Circle Punch

  • 1/4" Circle Punch

  • Snail Adhesive

  • Stampin' Dimensionals

  • Crafter's Tool Kit/paper piercing

  • White Gel pen (optional)

To Get Started:

I prefer to cut all CS and material first.

  1. Cut a 6"x"6 square from the So Saffron CS

  2. Cut a 1& 3/16"x12" Strip of Pretty in Pink CS, then draw a pencil line length wise down the strip (only on one side).

  3. Punch 8 individual circles with the 3/4" Circle Punch out of this strip lining the pencil line exactly in the middle of the punch.

  4. With the left over Pretty in Pink Strip cut a 2&1/2"x1 &3/16" piece.

  5. Punch 3 individual circles with the 3/4" Circle Punch out of the Tempting Turquoise CS.

  6. Punch 3 individual circles with the 1/4" Circle Punch out of Old Olive CS.

  7. Cut a 2& 1/2" x3/8" strip of Old Olive CS

  8. Cut a 2 &1/2" x3" piece of Whisper White or Shimmery White CS (we used Shimmery White)

  9. Cut a 4"x3& 1/2" piece of the Petals & Paisleys DP

  10. Ink up the Petals & Paisleys jumbo wheel with the So Saffron Classic Ink Pad or SS Ink Cartridge, and roll across your 6x6 So Saffron CS square(base page). Rolling at a diagonal helps keeps lined up.

  11. Using snail adhesive- Adhere the 8 pink circles to the right side of the SS 6x6 piece (base page), by using the pencil lines as a guide as where to let it hang over the edge. Make sure to adhere to the back of the 6x6 SS square.

  12. Adhere DP length-wise to the left side about 1/2" down from the top edge of the base page.

  13. With Old Olive Craft/Classic Ink pad stamp the paisley from the petals and paisleys stamp set randomly on the Whisper White/ Shimmery White CS. Make sure to have a piece of scrap paper underneath your work so that you can 'stamp off' the page too. If using craft ink remember to zap it with a Heat Gun to dry the ink quickly.

  14. Adhere this paisley stamped piece of CS vertically next to the DP on the Right side of base page.

  15. Adhere Pretty in Pink strip from step 4, below the WW/SW paisley stamped CS. You may need to overlap a bit to ensure it is even and flush with the bottom edge of the DP.

  16. Pierce the Old olive CS strip from step 7, using the paper piercing and Crafter's Tool Kit, length-wise. You can make false stitches with the White Gel Pen by connecting the holes (this is optional).

  17. Adhere this piece over the seam where the WW/SW CS piece meets with the Pretty in Pink CS.

  18. Using the Old Olive Craft/Classic Ink pad- choose a letter from the large alphabets stamp sets and stamp the letter on a piece of WW/SW CS-then cut out using random angles.

  19. Adhere this to a piece of Old Olive CS and cut out larger than the stamped Letter piece to serve as a mat.

  20. Using Stampin' Dimensionals-Adhere this matted letter to the paisley stamped WW/ SW CS

  21. Adhere the punched circles from step 5 randomly to the lower part of the base page.

  22. Now adhere the punched circles from step 6 to the centers of the larger circles.

  23. You can label you page for what he letter stands for with either the Old Olive marker, as in my "K" page or use the Rough Edges Alphabets stamp set as in the "F" or "A" page.

  24. ENJOY!!!!
