Post - it - Note Holder

Materials needed:

  • Paper trimmer
  • Sticky Strip
  • Adhesive
  • Bone folder
  • 3 coordinating colors of Cardstock (CS)
  • 2 coordinating Patterned Paper (PP)
  • Coordinating ribbon
  • Standard 3x3 post it note pad
  • Brads
  • Small 1/8” hole punch
  • Stamps
  • Coordinating stamp pad
  • Self adhesive Velcro circle or rectangle

Directions:

  1. Cut strip of Cardstock #1 using paper trimmer to 8 ½” x3 ¼”( this will be the main piece)

  2. Using your paper trimmer measure Cardstock #1 at 2 7/16”, 2 13/16”, 5 7/8”, & 6 5/16”—At each of this interval you will use your bone folder and score the cardstock (run the bone folder down the track of your trimmer for a straight line) then fold your cardstock at the score lines.

  3. Cut a piece of Cardstock #2 to 3 ¼”x ¾”

  4. Cut a piece of Cardstock #3 to 2”x 3 ¼”

  5. Cut a piece of Pattern Paper #1 to 1 ¼” x 3 ¼”

  6. Cut a piece of Pattern Paper #2 to 5/8” x 3 ¼”

  7. Adhere CS#3 to short flap of CS#1 lining up all the way to the bottom edge, using your adhesive.

  8. Adhere DP#1 to short flap of CS#1- lining up all the way to the TOP edge.

  9. Stamp word or image to CS#2, then using 1/8” hole punch 1 hole at each end of strip and place a brad.

  10. Adhere this strip with brads using sticky strip to CS#3 which is on the short flap of CS#1, leaving a space from the bottom edge so that you can see underneath CS.

  11. Adhere post it note pad to the inside of CS#1 (center section) by taking off very last page and using sticky strip on all for sides of pad on back of pad. Stick down firmly, centering. Once it has been placed down you cannot remove and rearrange as the sticky strip will tear the CS.

  12. Fold long flap of CS#1 up first then shorter flap ( top with CS and brads) down over. Adhere PP#2 to bottom flap meeting where top flap ends.

  13. Open flaps and leaving the Velcro together-peel off only one side of circle or rectangle Velcro piece under top flap, then peel off remaining piece of paper from Velcro and push top flap to bottom flap so that the Velcro adheres to bottom flap allowing the Velcro pieces to match up perfectly.

  14. Tie a length of ribbon around top flap overlaying the PP#1 and tie knot.
